Update on COVID-19: How our practice is preparing to welcome you back!
Our practice values the health and safety of our patients and staff as our top priority. Here are a few of the steps we are taking to ensure the well-being of all our staff and patients:
For the clinic, we adhere to all the guidelines from the BC College of Dental Surgeons and BC Provincial Health. We have invested in Surgically Clean Air Purifiers to filter out bacteria, viruses, and allergens in the operatories.
For every staff member, we regularly check for symptoms of COVID-19 and provide sick-leave support as needed. All team members will be trained and up to date on the best practices for infection prevention and control.
For every patient, we screen in advance for symptoms of COVID-19 and email forms when possible.
We provide access for frequent hand hygiene and all routine protective measures including bibs, drapes, and eye protection. All appropriate PPE will be available.
To continue social distancing measures, we encourage patients to wait outside or in their car and text to check in.
We kindly ask friends and family members to wait in the car too, if possible.
For patients needing to defer their treatment, we can book consults via phone or video.
Between patient visits, we clean and disinfect all contact surfaces in the operatories and sterilize all instruments.
In the reception/waiting area, we clean and disinfect all contact surfaces and have installed a transparent barrier that prevents droplet transmission. We have chairs spaced at least 2 metres apart and encourage physical distancing by staggering the appointment times.
We know many of you are looking forward to coming back to see us! At this time, we are primarily providing emergency dental care. We will be contacting you for routine dental care as normal operations gradually resume.
Thank you for your care and understanding as we prepare to re-open gradually. We can’t wait to see you!
